The Eco Warriors have been incredibly busy in motivating the whole school, through a power-point assembly, to think about how we use and waste energy. Following this , the Warriors  have involved the whole  school in creating an Eco Pledge.

The Warriors now do weekly audits  on  how each class is using energy and sticking to the pledge.  A green paw print is awarded  to those classes that have been environmentally responsible and a red paw print  if improvement is needed.  The Warriors also ran a competition to design a logo for the group.  In addition, they  have put the logo on to  “switch off” signs throughout the school.  Most recently,  the whole school were encouraged to vote for an endangered animal.

Adopting a Dolphin

The school has now adopted a bottle-nosed dolphin through the WWF and the children will be learning how what we do in school can help or harm the animal kingdom.  The money was raised through two fantastic cake sales organised by the Warriors and made possible through the generosity of parents and carers.  This term the Eco Warriors will be turning their attention to saving water and raising awareness in school of the importance of having clean water.
