St Charles’ are very proud to have a team of Eco Warriors who are incredibly busy in motivating the whole school, to think about how we use and waste energy. As a school we follow our unique Eco Pledge, which staff and pupils have promised to follow

The Warriors now do weekly audits  on  how each class is using energy and sticking to the pledge.  A green paw print is awarded  to those classes that have been environmentally responsible and a red paw print  if improvement is needed.  Around school you will see many posters and logos to remind us to switch off lights and recycle.

Each year the school adopts a new animal from the WWF endangered animals list. Pupils vote for the animal of the year, and choose the name. Pupils also learn about what we can do in school to help protect these animals.  The money raised to sponsor these animals comes from many fundraising events throughout the year and the generosity of parents and carers.
